On 16 January 2026, police in Withernsea on the East Yorkshire coast confirmed the death of 15‑year‑old Grace Sarah Keeling, whose body was found two weeks after she vanished after being swept from the beach. The teenager’s 45‑year‑old mother, also named Sarah Keeling, and her husband, Mark Ratcliffe, were also killed while attempting a rescue the day she disappeared on 30 December 2025.
