UK Weather: Yellow Flood Warnings for Heavy Rain
UK issues yellow flood warnings across South England, Wales & NI, citing 30‑80mm expected by mid‑week.

The Met Office has issued a chain of yellow weather warnings for heavy rain from Monday 25 January to Tuesday 26 January. The first warning covers central and southern Northern Ireland (Enniskillen, Omagh, Newry), starting at midday Monday and ending at 18:00. A second warning for southern England, Waterloo‑to‑Portsmouth, Oxford and southeastern Wales begins at 15:00 Monday and runs until 12:00 Tuesday. Earlier on Tuesday, two further warnings – one for the south of England, Kent and the east of Oxford, and another for rain and wind in Northern Ireland – start at 00:00 and 02:00 respectively and last until 12:00 and 21:00. Forecast depths range from 30 mm to 80 mm, threatening road closures, transport delays, flooding in homes and possible power cuts.
