Trump says U.S. struck dock on shore where he says alleged drug boats 'load up'
U.S. President Donald Trump claims the U.S. hit a dock facility used by alleged drug boats.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday the United States has struck a dock facility along a shore where boats accused of carrying drugs 'load up,' as part of an escalating pressure campaign on Venezuela. Speaking in Florida with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said there was a 'major explosion in the dock area' and that the U.S. hit 'all the boats and now we hit the area' where they are loaded. The remarks came days after CNN reported a CIA drone strike earlier in December on a remote dock in Venezuela believed used by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to store drugs. Trump did not confirm the location was Venezuela or specify whether the military or CIA conducted the strike. The U.S. military announced another strike on a drug-carrying boat in the eastern Pacific Ocean on Monday, killing two people. Since early September, the Trump administration says it has conducted 30 strikes killing at least 107 people.
