Trump says he got a CT scan instead of an MRI
Trump clarifies he received a CT scan, not an MRI, during October medical exam at Walter Reed.

President Donald Trump said in a Wall Street Journal interview published Thursday that he received a CT scan, not an MRI, during his October medical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Trump initially maintained he got an MRI as part of his yearly physical, but both Trump and his physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, confirmed it was a CT scan, which uses X-rays rather than magnetic fields. The scan was done to rule out cardiovascular issues and showed no abnormalities. Barbabella described Trump as in 'exceptional health.' Trump told the Journal he regrets getting the scan, saying it provided 'ammunition' to critics. The White House released the imaging results in December, calling them 'perfectly normal.' Trump also discussed his daily aspirin regimen and denied falling asleep during public events, attributing closed eyes to relaxation and blinking.
