Toronto Pilot ID Scam: Man Accused of Taking 400+ Free Flights

Dallas Pokornik, 33, a former Toronto‑based flight attendant, reportedly used a forged employee ID to claim the privileged passenger status of a commercial pilot for four years, from 2022‑2026. He is accused of taking hundreds of complimentary flights on Hawaiian Airlines (Honolulu), United Airlines (Chicago) and American Airlines (Fort Worth). U.S. authorities indicted him on October 2 2025; he was arrested in Panama in January 2026 and extradited, pleading not guilty. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Air Canada, Porter, Sunwing and WestJet have not confirmed employment records, while Air Canada denied his claim.
