Toronto jeweller Sokolovski accused of drug ring

Toronto jeweller Rolan Sokolovski, 37, who was arrested in Edmonton in November, is arguing before the Ontario Superior Court that he would not pose a flight risk if released. Crown lawyer Heather Graham said Sokolovski served as the “third in command” for fugitive narcotics king‑pin Ryan Wedding’s alleged international drug‑trafficking network, which prosecutors say yields $1 billion a year in revenue. Sokolovski allegedly laundered hundreds of millions of dollars and controlled the crypto wallets of co‑conspirators, including Andrew Clark, the “second‑in‑command” who was arrested in Mexico in 2024. The judge will decide on Sokolovski’s bail on Feb. 20 while he faces extradition to California on federal conspiracy and cocaine‑trafficking charges.
