Leigh Sutherland, 31, a TikTok creator, was convicted of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, on Condorrat Ring Road in June 2023. His Ford Mondeo was reported to have a faulty anti‑locking braking system and was speeding. The crash killed 77‑year‑old Margaret Allan, who was driving her 10‑year‑old grandson back from school in a Peugeot 108. Sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow in October 2025, Sutherland received a nine‑year prison term and a 13‑year‑6‑month driving disqualification. He was previously banned from driving for six months before the incident and faced criticism for posting videos about the crash while on remand.
