Police arrest 19‑year‑old on murder suspicion after a 24‑year‑old's body found floating in Plymouth's Millbay water.
Devon and Cornwall Police arrested a 19‑year‑old man on suspicion of murder after a 24‑year‑old man named Drew Perham, who had failed to return from a night out Friday, was reported missing on Saturday 24 January. Officers searched the area around Soap Street, near Millbay Marina, and found Perham’s body in Plymouth Harbour water on Sunday 25 January. The 19‑year‑old was initially arrested for attempted murder later that day and then re‑arrested for murder; he remains in custody. Detective Superintendent James Dowler said the investigation is fast‑paced and urged witnesses who were in the Millbay area between 1 am and 4 am on Saturday to come forward.
