Tate Modern Killer Jonty Bravery Jailed 16 Weeks After Attacking Broadmoor Nurses

Jonty Bravery, a 24‑year‑old convicted of throwing a six‑year‑old French boy from the 10th floor of London’s Tate Modern in 2019, was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison on 8 January 2026 for attacking two nurses at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire. In September 2024, Bravery kicked nurse Kate Mastalerz in the thigh and clawed at the face of Linda McKinlay, drawing blood, after attempting to climb onto a window ledge in his cell. He was convicted in November 2025 but did not attend the trial. The 16‑week sentence runs concurrently with a minimum 15‑year term for attempted murder and a life sentence for the 2019 incident. Bravery has previously received 14 weeks in 2020 for assaulting staff.
