Ryan Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder from Coquitlam, B.C., turned into an alleged narco‑kingpin. Born in 1982, Wedding graduated Centennial High School in 1999 and later became Canada’s junior world champion in snowboard slalom, winning silver and bronze. He competed in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics but finished 24th and retired after a DNF in 2002 U.S. Nationals. By 2024, the U.S. FBI accused him of masterminding a vast meth and cocaine trafficking ring moving shipments from Central and South America into the United States and Canada. He is also charged with four murders, including three in Canada, and faces a $15 million reward for information. Wedding was arrested in Mexico City and is now in U.S. custody, with a next court date of Feb. 11, 2026.
