Royal Family’s ties to Epstein revealed in new files
Emails show Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor and Sarah Ferguson welcomed Epstein into palace life after his 2009 release.

New pages from the Jeffrey Epstein files, released on 31 January 2026, contain emails that show Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor and former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson inviting the convicted paedophile into the royal fold after his 2009 release. The correspondence records invitations to Buckingham Palace in September 2010, to Andrew’s birthday at St James’s Palace in February 2010, and references to Epstein providing money and contacts. The files cover more than three million pages and reveal dates such as June 2008 when Epstein pleaded guilty and July 2009 when he was released—years after his conviction. The material has intensified pressure on the royals and sparked calls for Andrew to testify to US Congress about his knowledge of Epstein’s activities.
