A roofer from Wiltshire pleaded guilty to stealing over £50,000 from two elderly pensioners and was spared jail.

In Swindon on 15 January 2026, a Wiltshire roofer pleaded guilty at Swindon Crown Court to five fraud offences after defrauding two pensioners of more than £50,000. The defendant admitted to taking the money from the women’s homes and leaving one of them destitute.
