CBC Television will broadcast live New Year's Eve 2026 coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET (8:30 NT) on December 31, 2025. The night starts with 'This Hour Has 22 Minutes New Year's Eve Pre-game Special' at 8 p.m., followed by 'Live Cross-Canada Countdown' at 9 p.m. local time (9:30 NT). The countdown will be hosted by Adrienne Arsenault and Jann Arden from Toronto's Harbourfront Centre, and Ian Hanomansing and Andrew Phung from Edmonton's ICE District. The special features musical performances by Adam Baldwin, surprise guests, and live reports from communities across Canada. Coverage continues until 3:30 a.m. ET/12:30 a.m. PT. Programming airs on CBC TV, CBC News Network, CBC Gem, CBC News app, CBCNews.ca, CBC News streaming channels, and CBC News YouTube channel.
