Revealed: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma's per-match earnings in the Vijay Hazare Trophy

India's cricketing superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have returned to the Vijay Hazare Trophy, India's premier domestic one-day competition, for the 2025–26 season. Despite their international stardom, both players fall under the senior category in the tournament's pay structure, earning Rs 60,000 per match if selected in the playing XI and Rs 30,000 when named as reserves. This is significantly lower than the BCCI's Rs 6 lakh per ODI match fee they command. The Vijay Hazare Trophy operates a tiered match fee system based on List A experience: seniors (40+ matches) earn Rs 60,000, mid-level players (21-40 matches) earn Rs 50,000, and juniors (up to 20 matches) earn Rs 40,000. Kohli represents Delhi while Rohit captains Mumbai. Beyond match fees, players receive daily allowances and can earn additional bonuses, including Rs 10,000 for Man of the Match awards.
