Reiner Son’s Lawyer Withdraws, Arraignment Delayed
Nick Reiner’s arraignment postponed after his lawyer exits the case.

Nick Reiner, 32, the son of Hollywood icon Rob Reiner, faces murder charges after his parents were found stabbed to death in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on 14 December 2025. His arraignment was scheduled for 7 January 2026 in the Los Angeles Superior Court, but high‑profile defense lawyer Alan Jackson withdrew citing circumstances beyond his control. The judge granted Jackson’s request to exit, and the court postponed the arraignment to 23 February 2026. Public defender Kimberly Greene has taken over representation. District Attorney Nathan Hochman said the case carries a maximum death‑penalty sentence and that a jury will convict beyond reasonable doubt. Reiner’s new counsel will receive all facts to prepare his defense.
