Nova Scotia author Rachel Reid is set to release the seventh installment of her best‑selling Game Changers hockey romance series, Unrivaled, on Sept. 26, 2026. The novel follows former rivals Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov as their relationship moves from secrecy to marriage and their careers converge on the same team. The series, beginning with 2019's Heated Rivalry, has sold over 1.3 million copies in North America and has inspired a Crave Original Series that premiered in November 2025, earning a spot on the 2026 Canada Reads long list. Reid’s work, noted for its queer representation, has boosted the profile of its actors—Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie—who appeared at the 2026 Golden Globes.
