Prince Harry’s Privacy Trial: 2.5‑Hour Stand
Harry stood for only 2.5 hrs, answering questions on 2 of 14 Daily Mail articles in a high‑profile privacy case.

On 21 January 2026, Prince Harry testified in the High Court against Associated Newspapers, claiming unlawful coverage of his private life. The Duke was on the witness stand for just 2 ½ hours, with his barrister questioning him on only two of the 14 alleged articles. He described the Daily Mail as “the most influential newspaper” and urged the court to recognise the “social element” of his fight, arguing it is a “public duty” grounded in his mother’s teachings. Clinching emotions appeared as he said the press had “made my wife’s life a misery”. The trial will continue over the next months, as the publisher denies any wrongdoing.
