Prince Harry Expected to Testify in High Court Privacy Case

Prince Harry is set to appear on the stand at the High Court in London next week, giving evidence in a privacy lawsuit against the Daily Mail publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL). The case, filed in October 2020 by Harry and six other claimants—including Sir Elton John, Liz Hurley, David Furnish, Sadie Frost and ex‑MP Simon Hughes—alleges that ANL hired private detectives to plant hidden listening devices in cars, forge private records, and intercept protected phone conversations between 1993 and 2011. The trial, due to open on Monday, includes a nine‑week timetable with a full day for Harry’s testimony scheduled on Thursday 15 January 2026. ANL has dismissed the allegations as “preposterous smears.”
