A pregnant woman hit by an e‑bike in Poole leaves her newborn seriously injured amid a police investigation.

On Monday, 24 January 2026, an e‑bike rider struck a pregnant woman at around 3:30 pm on Herbert Avenue, Poole, Dorset. The rider failed to stop after the collision. The woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to hospital and later gave birth. The newborn remains in serious condition and is under medical care. PC Dan Blagden of Dorset Police’s roads team is conducting a full investigation and has urged witnesses and anyone with dash‑cam footage to come forward.
