New routes: A popular route connecting the UK to a city break hotspot will return this spring
Inverness to Dublin direct flights return spring 2026, twice weekly.

Direct flights between Inverness (Scotland) and Dublin (Ireland) will resume in spring 2026, returning to the popular city‑break route that had been suspended. Air service operators will run the line twice a week, with departures from Inverness Airport and arrival at Dublin Airport. The service had been cancelled in late 2024, cutting off one of the fastest links between the Scottish Highlands and a key tourist destination. The revival follows a surge in demand, with travelers seeking quick escapes into the Irish capital. Airlines hope to capture the 150,000‑per‑year passenger market that the route historically served. The renewed flights are expected to bolster tourism and ease travel for Scottish residents.
