New Deep-Sea Search for MH370 Begins in Indian Ocean
Ocean Infinity resumes search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 under renewed 'no-find, no-fee' contract

A deep-sea search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has resumed in the Indian Ocean, marking the latest effort to solve the 2014 disappearance of the Boeing 777 that vanished with 239 people on board. The search vessel Armada 86 05, operated by Texas-based marine robotics firm Ocean Infinity, arrived at a designated search area in the southern Indian Ocean on December 31, 2025. This follows a renewed 'no-find, no-fee' agreement between Malaysia and Ocean Infinity, which previously searched the seabed in 2018 without success. The company has since upgraded its technology and refined its analysis, narrowing the search zone to what it believes is the most probable crash site. The Malaysia Airlines flight disappeared from radar on March 8, 2014, while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, and satellite data indicated it veered off course toward the remote southern Indian Ocean.
