Murderer who killed schoolboy will not move to open prison after raps 'boasting' about his crime
Deputy PM David Lammy blocks Jake Fahri's transfer to an open prison despite Parole Board recommendation.

In 2008, 16‑year‑old Jimmy Mizen was murdered at Three Cooks Bakery in South London when Jake Fahri threw a glass dish that severed neck vessels. Fahri received a life sentence in 2009 with a minimum term of 14 years, and was released on licence in June 2023. After gaining notoriety as a masked drill rapper called “Ten,” he began releasing tracks that appeared to reference Mizen’s death. In January 2025 the Ministry of Justice recalled him to prison following a Sun article exposing his identity. The Parole Board then recommended moving the 36‑year‑old to an open prison to facilitate reflection, but Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy refused, citing the need to keep him under tighter custodial conditions.
