Motorcycles seized in raids targeting Canadian fugitive Ryan Wedding valued at $40M US: FBI

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation announced Tuesday that motorcycles seized in raids on properties linked to Canadian fugitive Ryan Wedding in Mexico City and the state of Mexico are valued at $40 million US ($54.7 million Cdn). The raids, conducted last week by Mexican authorities, also uncovered two vehicles, artwork, and what Mexican officials described as two Olympic medals. Wedding, a former Canadian snowboarder who competed in the 2002 Olympics, was added to the FBI's most-wanted fugitives list in March 2024 and is believed to be operating a transnational drug trafficking organization from Mexico. The FBI released photos showing the seized motorcycles and other assets, including the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Roadster worth $13 million seized in Miami in December, which was purchased by Toronto jeweler Rolan Sokolovski, identified by U.S. authorities as Wedding's alleged money launderer.
