Immigration Minister Mike Tapp has told GB News he is 'confident' the Government will 'make progress' on stopping small boat crossings into the UK. Tapp made the comments as anti-migrant activists attempting to disrupt operations in France could face arrest. Tapp said: 'I'm confident that we will make progress on stopping the boats, that's what the Home Secretary has said. We're working hard with the French to make sure that we have the right security measures in place to make that happen. The comments come as the Government is under pressure to tackle the issue of small boat crossings, with numbers of migrants attempting to cross the Channel remaining high.
