Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Warns U.S. Ships in Mideast
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warns U.S. and Israel as U.S. warships head toward the Middle East amid protests.

Senior commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Gen. Mohammad Pakpour, warned the U.S. and Israel that his forces are “more ready than ever, finger on the trigger” as U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and a flotilla of warships move from the Indian Ocean toward the Middle East. The warning follows violent protests that began on Dec. 28 2025 over the collapse of the rial, a crackdown that has left an estimated 2,000 dead and more than 40,000 detained. Trump told reporters the U.S. is “moving warships … just in case.” European airlines such as Air France, Luxair, KLM and Transavia have halted flights to Dubai and Tel‑Aviv amid concerns for airspace security. The U.S. and Tehran have set red lines around the execution of protestors and mass detentions. The situation remains highly volatile.
