Iran has threatened a 'swift, decisive and comprehensive' response to the US after President Donald Trump warned the US was 'locked and loaded' to intervene if Iranian security forces killed protesters. The warning came amid deadly unrest that left at least 10 people dead and over 130 arrested across Iran. Protests erupted over economic grievances including soaring prices and currency devaluation. Iran's foreign ministry condemned Trump's remarks as 'intimidating' and 'escalating tensions in the region.' The US State Department released videos showing protesters' 'courage' and 'resolve.' This is the largest unrest since 2022 protests following Mahsa Amini's death in custody. Iran's Revolutionary Guards-affiliated Basij paramilitary forces have been involved in the crackdown.
