Accidental snubs and star wins mark the 2026 Golden Globes.

On 12 January 2026, the Golden Globes in Los Angeles crowned ‘One Battle After Another’ as Best Musical/Comedy, with Paul Thomas Anderson taking Best Director and Teyana Taylor Best Supporting Actress. Timothée Chalamet won Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy, while ‘Hamnet’ captured Best Drama and Jessie Buckley – the film’s star – took Best Actress. In television, ‘Adolescence’ swept all four categories: Best Limited Series, Best Actor Stephen Graham, Best Supporting Actor Owen Cooper, and Best Supporting Actress Erin Doherty. Other triumphs included Rose Byrne (Best Musical/Comedy Actress), Wagner Moura (Best Actor for *The Secret Agent*), and Michael B Jordan’s *Sinners* earning top honours in cinema. The ceremony highlighted snubs such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Guillermo del Toro and Yorgos Lanthimos.
