Flying Overseas for Hair Transplants Becomes Growing Trend
Americans increasingly travel to Turkey and other countries for affordable hair transplant procedures.

A growing number of Americans are traveling overseas for hair transplants, with Turkey emerging as a popular destination for the procedure. ABC News' Lionel Moise reports that patients are seeking more affordable options abroad, where hair transplant surgeries can cost significantly less than in the United States. The trend has led to an increase in medical tourism specifically for cosmetic procedures, with clinics in countries like Turkey offering package deals that include the surgery, accommodations, and transportation. While the lower costs are attractive, medical professionals warn patients to thoroughly research overseas clinics and understand the risks involved in receiving medical treatment in foreign countries where regulations and standards may differ from those in the U.S.
