FBI Serves Search Warrant at Fulton County Election Hub
FBI seeks 2020 election records at Fulton County hub after DOJ lawsuit and Trump’s fraud claims.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) served a search warrant at the Fulton County Elections Hub and Operations Center in Atlanta on Jan. 28, 2026, to obtain records related to the 2020 presidential election. The action comes after the Department of Justice filed a lawsuit last month seeking ballot stubs, signature envelopes and other documents that could help prosecute allegations that former President Donald Trump and 18 other defendants tried to overturn Georgia’s results. Fulton County officials said the investigation remains active. Trump has repeatedly cited voter fraud in Georgia, and he is now pursuing $6 million in legal fees from the county following the case’s dismissal. The search is part of a broader criminal probe into Trump’s 2021 phone call that asked the Secretary of State to “find” votes.
