Drake Faces U.S. Class-Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Gambling-Funded Music Stream Manipulation

Drake is facing a U.S. class-action lawsuit filed on December 31, 2025, in Virginia federal court, alleging he conspired with online gambling platform Stake.us and influencer Adin Ross to artificially inflate his music streaming numbers. The lawsuit claims Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, was central to a scheme where illegal gambling proceeds from Stake.us were used to create fraudulent streams on platforms like Spotify. The plaintiffs allege Stake.us, a social casino operating through 'Stake Cash' redeemable for cryptocurrency, facilitated money transfers between Drake, Ross, and defendant George Nguyen. The suit seeks at least $5 million in damages, accusing the defendants of manipulating streaming algorithms, distorting playlists, undermining artist discovery, and defrauding consumers by fabricating Drake's popularity metrics.
