Costco shoppers told 'not to consume' chocolate over contamination fears

On 19 January 2026, Kestrel Foods announced an urgent recall of its Forest Feast Belgian Milk Chocolate Jumbo Raisins sold at Costco, due to possible undetected peanuts and other tree nuts. Consumers with nut allergies have been advised to avoid the product. The issue was flagged after a handful of customers reported allergic reactions. Kestrel is cooperating with the UK Food Standards Agency to trace the batch and will issue a full statement by 23 January 2026. Retailers have removed the product from shelves pending investigation. Shoppers are encouraged to check packaging and report any symptoms via the agency’s reporting hotline.
