Child dies after 'intense' house fire in Kent
A child has died and another was hospitalized after a house fire in Hamstreet, Kent.
A child has died and another person was taken to hospital after an intense house fire in the village of Hamstreet, near Ashford, Kent. The incident occurred on Sunday 28 December 2025 when six fire engines and a height vehicle were dispatched to the scene. Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) reported the fire had spread throughout the entire property. KFRS chief executive Ann Millington expressed condolences to the affected family. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and emergency services remain at the scene.
