Channel Tunnel Power Failure Causes Eurostar Chaos
Eurostar halts all trains after power fault disrupts Channel Tunnel service

Eurostar has suspended all services through the Channel Tunnel following a power supply failure on Tuesday 30 December 2025. The issue caused a failed Le Shuttle train in the tunnel, leading to severe delays and last-minute cancellations. Eurostar advised all passengers to postpone their journeys to different dates, warning that trains scheduled to run could still be disrupted. The company urged travelers not to come to stations unless they already had tickets. No injuries were reported, but the incident caused major disruption during the busy holiday travel period. The Channel Tunnel connects the UK with mainland Europe, with Eurostar operating high-speed services between London, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.
