Canada Computers Data Breach Leaves Customers Uncertain
Canada Computers & Electronics reveals a website breach exposing customer credit card data, but offers only vague details.

Canada Computers & Electronics (CCE) reported a data breach that exposed personal information, including credit card numbers, from its website. The company learned of the breach on Friday, Jan 27, 2026 and notified affected customers on Monday, Jan 30. CCE states only “a few” customers were impacted, but does not disclose exact numbers, duration, or the date of the intrusions. Customers such as Alex Brochu in Drummondville, Quebec; Brad Seward in Toronto; and Jenna Francis‑Koch in Kelowna, British Columbia have voiced concerns. CCE filed a report with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and York Regional Police is investigating the incident.
