Canada’s women’s hockey team will be announced Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET in Toronto, just weeks before the 2026 Winter Games in Milano Cortina, Italy. The 23‑player roster will be selected from a 30‑player pool that trained in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal and competed in a four‑game Rivalry Series against the United States, where Canada fell 24‑7. Head coach Troy Ryan will return, assisted by Kori Cheverie, Caroline Ouellette, Britni Smith and Brad Kirkwood. Key figures expected to lock in include captain Marie‑Philip Poulin, Blayre Turnbull, Laura Stacey, Emma Maltais, and Daryl Watts. Goaltenders Ann‑Renée Desbiens and Emerance Maschmeyer are secured, with the third spot contested by Ève Gascon and Kayle Osborne. Canada will face the U.S., Switzerland, Czech Republic and Finland in Group A.
