Camden Blaze Threatens Rail Lines, Trips Stalled
70 firefighters tackled a Camden blaze near rail lines, disrupting travel from London to Watford.

On Friday, 30 January 2026, a building fire erupted at Regent's Park Road Bridge in Camden, above multiple railway lines servicing London Euston. Ten fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters were dispatched at 09:31, fighting flames that generated large smoke plumes. National Rail warned that passengers travelling between London Euston and Watford Junction – and services on Avanti West Coast routes to Birmingham New Street, Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly – could experience cancellations, 30‑minute delays, or revised schedules. Road closures along Regent's Park Road Bridge added to the disruption. No injuries were reported, and Southern services were unaffected. The blaze is expected to end by day’s close, with travel chaos continuing across the network.
