Calgary Teen Bursts Bond Rules, Confronts Judge Over Nazi Views
A 19‑year‑old Calgary teen who breached a terrorism peace bond by posting pro‑ISIS and pro‑Nazi content argues with Judge Todd LaRochelle in court.

In January 2026, a 19‑year‑old Calgary man, banned under a terrorism peace bond for ISIS propaganda, breached conditions by sharing pro‑Nazi material and selfie hunting at a synagogue. Youth court Justice Todd LaRochelle convicted him on Monday, noting the conduct was racist, homophobic and bigoted. The teen was also involved in the 2023 RCMP national security investigation that saw three youths issued peace bonds; a 20‑year‑old, Zakarya Hussein, later received a six‑year sentence for facilitating terrorism. LaRochelle urged counseling and ideological‑extremism training ahead of a sentencing set for spring, after another breach threatened jail time.
