Australian police confirm alleged Bondi Beach shooters 'acted alone' amid Islamic State links investigation.

Australian police have confirmed that two men suspected of a mass shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney acted alone and were linked to the Islamic State. The suspects, identified as Naveed Akram (30) and Muzafar Ali (28), opened fire on a crowded beach on December 29, 2025, killing six people and injuring 15 others. Authorities say the attackers were radicalized online and had no known prior criminal history. NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb stated the investigation is ongoing but confirmed the pair were not part of a larger network. The incident occurred near the Bondi Icebergs Pool around 2:30 PM local time. Both suspects were shot dead by police at the scene.
