BJP accuses Gandhi-Vadra family of 'hate for Dalit' over Kharge treatment
BJP claims Congress leadership disrespected Dalit president Kharge during press conference
The BJP launched a scathing attack on the Gandhi-Vadra family on Saturday, accusing them of harboring 'hate for Dalit' after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was allegedly disrespected during a press conference. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari shared a viral clip showing Kharge initially stating he would not read a statement aloud but circulate it to media, only to be interrupted moments later by Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh who directed him to read it out. The BJP claimed this demonstrated the Gandhi-Vadra family's 'open' disrespect for Dalits. The incident occurred during Congress's press conference announcing nationwide protests against the government's decision to replace MGNREGA with what they called the VB G Ram G Act. The controversy comes amid ongoing political tensions between the ruling BJP and opposition Congress.
