Assault on Congressman Frost at Sundance
A 28‑year‑old was arrested after punching Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost at a Sundance party in Park City.

Christian Joel Young, 28, was arrested Friday night after allegedly assaulting Florida Representative Maxwell Frost at a CAA‑hosted private party in Park City, Utah, during the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. Frost said Young punched him and threatened that President Trump would deport him, and shouted racist remarks before fleeing. Young was charged with aggravated burglary, assaulting an elected official, and assault. He was also accused of grabbing a woman’s shoulder, jumping a fence, and possessing a non‑issued Sundance pass. Park City Police arrived just after midnight, detained Young, who was taken to Summit County Jail and later held without bail by County Judge Richard Mrazik. Sundance officials condemned the act and urged witnesses to report the incident.
