1,000 Days of War in Sudan: 30 Million People in Need

Sudan’s civil war has reached its 1,000th day, leaving 30 million civilians—about 70 % of the population—in urgent need of aid. The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) continue to bombard key cities, most recently seizing Al Fashir in late October 2025 after an 18‑month siege. Footage shows RSF using UAE‑produced Panthera T2 armoured vehicles and Chinese AH‑4 howitzers, while U.S. and German small‑arms appear on the battlefield. The UAE is alleged to be the main backer, supplying weapons through Libya and Chad. Hospitals are overwhelmed, civilians are displaced, and the conflict’s humanitarian toll is escalating.
